We are pleased to announce the signing of Erick Otieno from Nzoia Sugar FC, Levis Opiyo from Gor Mahia, and John Odhiambo formerly with Ushuru FC.

Otieno, a budding striker joins us on a long-term deal and will immediately link up with our first team.

He is hardworking, clinical, and a beast in the air as was evident with the well-taken goal he scored against us at the Kasarani Annex a fortnight ago.

Otieno has scored three goals so far this season. He started his campaign with one against Posta Rangers before scoring against Sofapaka and lastly against his new employer.

The Kakamega High School alumnus had a short stint with KCB FC before moving to Nzoia Sugar at the start of the current campaign.

This is what he had to say after signing his contract.

“I am happy to be here. Wazito is a big, ambitious team with quality players and I will work hard to earn my place in the team. As a striker, my job is to score goals and I am going to do my best to score,” he said.

“Coach Kimanzi is one of the best in the country and under him, I am going to learn a lot. I am looking forward to this exciting journey with Wazito FC, he added.

Club CEO Denni Gicheru lauded the forward’s arrival.

“Erick is a young, hungry player and I believe with the aid of our head coach and his technical team he will develop further, he will learn new things, and become a better striker. My challenge to him is to keep working hard, let him learn as much as he can, and grow. I wish him all the best,” our CEO Dennis Gicheru said.

Levis, a keeper joins us from Gor Mahia. He has previously played for Thika United, Western Stima, Mathare United, and Nairobi City Stars.

He joins our goalkeeping department that consists of Peter Odhiambo and Bixente Otieno.

“Levis is a quality keeper who will bring competition to our goalkeeping department. He has played for big teams and that says a lot about his quality. I challenge him to earn his place in the team,” Gicheru stated.

This is what our new custodian had to say.

“Wazito is a big team with ambition and I am here to fight for my place in the team. To the fans, I want to assure them that I am here to give my best,” he said.

Also joining us is former Ushuru FC left-back, John Odhiambo. Odhiambo has previously turned out for Mathare United and KCB.

“We had just one left-back (Dennis Ng’ang’a) in the team. The arrival of John will bring competition to that department. He is a good player and having him on board gives our head coach options,” Gicheru said.

This is what the defender had to say.

“It feels good to be here. Wazito is currently one of the big teams in the league and this season they are in contention for the title. I am here to earn my place in the team. I am also excited to work with coach Francis Kimanzi who is one of the best tacticians in the country,” he stated.
