Brief info

Power-house center-back re-joined Wazito in the 2019 transfer window having left for Mathare United a year earlier. The Kenyan international made his debut in last season’s opener against Nzoia Sugar FC. He partnered fellow new arrival Bernard Ochieng in the middle of defense.
He was one of Wazito’s standout performers in the 2020 KPL season hardly missing a game throughout the season. Both of Omurwa’s goals in the campaign came against Kakamega Homeboyz in a 4-2 home loss. He is tough on the tackle, strong as an ox, swift as a deer and reads the game well as a center-half.
The 23-year-old is currently capped 15 times with 2 goals to his name. He received his maiden call up to the under-23 as well as the senior national team in 2018. He featured in all the games in the invitational tournament in India. He was also a mainstay at the heart of Kenya's defense in the last CECAFA edition. He is the vice-captain and a mainstay at the heart of Wazito's backline having already featured in the opening fixtures of the new 2020/21 BPL season against Sharks and Vihiga United.
