Brief info

Center-back Bernard Ochieng joined Wazito from Vihiga United in the 2019 window transfer.
Ochieng, who captained Vihiga to the KPL in 2018, is a graduate of Kenyatta University with Bachelors in Education degree. He is strong in the air, agile, vocal and takes no prisoners at the back. He made his full debut for Wazito against in 2019 league opener against Nzoia Sugar FC. He was a regular at the heart of Wazito defence. His never-say-die attitude, excellent defensive attributes and leadership qualities earned him the team’s armband after the long-serving Dan Odhiambo retired.
Unfortunately, his season was interrupted by an anterior cruciate ligament injury. He went under the knife and has since recovered and ready to roar once again in the new 2020-2021 season. The 24-year-old is a full international and proudly represented the national team in the last AFCON edition in Egypt 2019. He featured in the 3-2 win against Tanzania and Senegal in the AFCON tournament.
The captain made his first appearance in the 2020-2021 season partnering Omurwa at the heart of the defense against his former team, Vihiga United, helping the team to a comfortable 3-1 win.
